The Flashback:
Past few months had already been very depressing for Inayat as she had completely been turmoiled by the hardships she had been going through in her current relationship. For the outside world, she looked happy and fulfilled but deep inside she was completely lost as things were really not favouring her from quite sometime. She had decided to overcome all the obstacles and call off this burdened relationship full of compromises.

Despite all the difficulties, she had never lost the zeal to live her life as she always believed that her life is constantly being guarded by a magical soul sitting up there in the stars. This mystical soul had always evoked her determination to move forward in life and strive for the best. This heavenly soul was none other than her grandmother that Inayat was most attached to since her arrival on this planet.

She occupies a very prominent position in her life then and will continue to till eternity. There has not even been a single moment in her life when Inayat has not embraced her presence and influence in her life.

So, the story begins with just another day when Inayat was feeling spiritless and was self-introspecting her decisions and the choices that she had made in the past. She was all distressed and requested her superpower to accompany her paving a path which would illuminate her life with happiness once again.

For you to know Inayat better, let me just introduce you to this sweet little girl who would otherwise just not catch your attention standing amidst the crowd. She is an affectionate girl, with a conscientious mind with those nerdy glances giving her a perfect strict teacher look. Humour, laughter and wittiness were the essence of her life prior to entering this unpleasant phase of life.

Her childhood experiences had uplifted the emotional side of her personality and she never failed to give equal priority to other’s sentiments as well. So coming back to the story, she was all lost in her own painful world trying to heal the open sores of being deceived when a beep on her phone took away her concentration. It was a notification of a new message received on Tinder(Well, I guess most of our tech-savvy generation must be already aware of this socialising application). Just to come out of those malicious thoughts, she starts fidgeting with her phone.

She clicked the notification which read “Hey”.
She responded back with a dejected “Hi”.
She tried exploring the personality on the other side but his profile was not much informative.

She got occupied with her work when she received a few more notifications which she chose to ignore as it was a working day and she really was in a hurry to finish off her work. It was really a hectic day for her, as exams were approaching in the school and she had to finish a lot of chores like checking the notebooks, submitting the question papers and a couple of more boring tasks. She looked at her watch and felt relieved as the shorter hand of the watch was already at 2 and the minute hand was about to touch 12.

Another day was over and she was going back home when she took out her phone to call her mom. It was her daily routine to make a conference call to her mom and sister on her way back as they are the only people on earth now who know her inside out. But before calling them she responded back to this guy who had pinged her a few times in the last 2 hours.

The first few words exchanged between this guy and Inayat were not the usual introductory phrases but something which made them even more curious to talk to each other. 

So let me briefly introduce you to this guy as well. His name is Ankush, a surgeon by profession. I cannot say that he is the most handsome guy on earth but yes he had something peculiar in him that made Inayat respond to all his messages. He looked like an enlightened soul and had a charismatic personality.

Since their first chat they shared the alchemy which created a common desire to know each other better. Initially, Inayat was not responding well to his messages but there was some magnetic force that kept the conversation alive till Ankush disclosed that he is going to Singapore to attend a medical conference and will be back after a week.

He even expressed his desire of exchanging numbers as it will be convenient to stay connected. But Inayat was trying to hold herself back till Ankush ridiculously taunted her not to uninstall the app until he comes back. He even insisted Inayat to share a few pics for which she was little reluctant initially but somehow his determination was so strong to convince her that they finally exchanged their digits and got connected over Whatsapp.

I don't know if it was their common desire to externalize, to confide or what but since their first conversation they never talked like strangers to each other. They never knew what this decisive encounter was going to bring for them.

He finally flew to Singapore and they didn't even realize when they started desperately waiting for each other’s messages. They echoed each other’s sentiments. They developed the strength of character that they appeared to be each other’s inner conscience. They never knew that this time is going to announce a very rewarding emotional period for both of them that they would just want to share their innermost feelings with each other. They had million reasons to keep talking to each other. They never knew that love was knocking on their door.

Their endless messages eventually turned into their endless talks as the world seemed to have paused just for two of the lost souls. Inayat was truly invaded by an intense feeling of love, which she really had not felt in past few years of her life. Spring had already crept inside their lives a little earlier this season and they were truly lost in their own fantasy world. They shared the feeling that teenagers have before their first kiss when they were waiting to hear each other for the very first time. They eagerly waited for Ankush to come back to India to talk to each other. The feeling was both magical and terrifying. But hold on, this was not even the beginning of their relationship.

The love actually started brewing when they decided to meet. They met at a cafe in Khan market where Ankush was already waiting for her to reach. Her heart literally skipped a beat when she looked at his innocent child like face. She never knew that this one meeting is going to change her life all over again. It seemed that they wanted the time to seize for them just there and then. But every good thing comes to an end and so did their meeting.

The meeting ended with an adorable fight over paying the bill which actually gave them a chance to hold each other’s hand and feel the emotions that had actually been overflowing in their talks earlier. During the entire meet, they were so real and natural to each other that they just didn't have to pretend about anything. They talked, they laughed, they fought, they even fagged together. They walked miles together in their journey of life experienced so far.

Ankush was constantly giving her compliments for all those little things which she had completely forgotten to notice about her.

It made her feel even more shy, that she could just not adore him properly. The darkness was conquering the sky when they decided to say goodbye until they meet again. Just then he asked her if he could drop her back. The breeze was a little cooler than usual, witnessing the most unusual encounter that truly happens rarely in a lifetime.

She was envying herself, meeting the old Inayat who was just blushing when Ankush held her hand. The touch was so surreal and intense that she knew she was in love again. She wanted to kiss him there and then, but soon came back to reality when she realized that both of them are married.

Yes! you have heard it right. The two lost souls were already struggling to come out of their disastrous relationships when met through this decisive encounter planned by some cosmic energies. Throughout the entire way, she kept convincing her heart to take a step forward but she could not gather enough courage. She finally convinced her heart to 'lets be friends' only. I wish she could not have listened to her heart for this time as she never knew what the future is going to hold for her. She had forgotten that No TOMORROW is promised to you EVER!

Anyway, she came back and soon started receiving texts from Ankush expressing his feelings about this meeting. Wait! Was that really a meeting ? He asked her.

“Well I came there for a meeting but ended up having a date with you”. She announced and he confirmed.

Incognisant of the world around them, they were just rejoicing in their own universe. Inayat’s mornings were never so beautiful before as they now started witnessing Ankush’s cheerful face over the video calls. This strict teacher had turned more notorious than her students as she used to sneak out of her class as soon as Ankush called her up to wish her the life’s best mornings.
