To My Ex, Thank You For This Lesson
People just come in our lives and go.
To that person who came in my life and just went.. thank you! Thank you for making me realize my true worth. Thank you for making me believe that I could love someone to this extent. You left me because you just wanted to, for reasons only known to you. On doing so you shattered me to the core. Thanks to you that I realized that I could not just waste this life that my parents had given me.
Yes.. I accept the fact that there was a time when I was desperate to have you back in my life. I cried just like any heartbroken person would. Do you know what helped the most? Your ignorant attitude towards me when you left. My self respect told me that I couldn't waste my life on such a person.
I had every right to enjoy, I had every right to live. Even after all this, I know its sad that sometimes i miss you.. I don't know why. You see, because the heart sometimes has reasons that even reasons sometimes cannot understand. It was hard but not impossible.
Thank you so much for helping me move on. Thank you for making me realize that not all "i love yous and i'll be there for yous" are meant to be forever. Most importantly, thank you for leaving me with a broken yet strong heart.
